- Creative and openness .....
- "From engineers to engineers" means this website is
designed by engineers with KISS (keep it simple stupid!) concept
for another engineers. So don't expect hanky panky graphics at
this website.
- Until now,we are not planning to ISO's our
work simply because you want to tell
everybody thru your banner that
"I've got ISO9004!!!" .. are we missing
something here?? Somebody out there
just get confused between ISO and Quality. ISO9xxx
is simply not for university. We are too dynamic for
ISO9xxx.
- This server was commissioned on 28 Sep 1999.
- This website is written by part-timers and full time engineers. So don't
expect too much graphics here.
- The aim of this website is to dispersed information
gathered from various sources in the University.
However we are still in the development process, and
not all information is available yet. Please give us
feedback on anything that will improve this website.
Your positive comment is most welcomed.
- The server is build from scratch where we use RedHat
linux as our operating system platform, the webserver
is Apache, the database server is MySQL and the powerfull
PHP3.www.php.net.
The website is designed for simplification, not
abstruse. We try to minimize the graphics thus our
pages can be downloaded faster. We always consider information is more
important than graphics-filled webpage. Most of our visitors are school
leavers that have an average 33.6 kbps modem, which is not fast.
