The reasons the server was down or unreachable are :-
Sorted according to frequency of occurence

Our main router breakdown but this time they solve it a lot faster.
The network is technically useless after being flooded by microsoft-poorly-written-windows worms and viruses.
Gateway interface down and don't know why (always occurs during weekend)
The website was firewalled by Computer Center due to their cluelessness.
Power failure (We are, technically, useless without it).
Wrong configuration, i.e. using wrong remark's symbol, typo error, etc. and the webadmin is too busy to realise it.
Somebody blocked port 53 (name server) and nobody knows where the heck www.fkm.utm.my is.
Hardware failure, ie. harddisk kaput, power supply malfunction , loose cables, router down, hub down, switches down...
Upgrades (we love to do this);
Somebody accidentally pull out the network cable;
Somebody is playing or learning or cuba-jaya a new firewall configuration on the main gateway and disallow port 80 connection.
Somebody configuring a new router on the main gateway without trying it first in it's private, extremely unknown and beyond detection LAN.;
A civil worker accidentally hits the network cable while trying to install a new telephone (what ever) lines;
Received a DoS (or someone called it 'hacked by dos');
list will go on.....
